We lost our sweet Hannah last night.

Hannah, our 12-year-old Torbie, crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night. Mrs. Rat was petting her when Hannah meowed loudly and was gone (appears to have been a massive coronary). We rushed her to the Emergency Center, but to no avail.

Hannah was our first cat, and the one who made us realize we were "cat people." Rest in Peace, sweet Hannah - you were great.

23. Strokes, too. Years ago one of mine suddenly had his rear...

legs paralyzed and the vet said it was am major stroke.

Had to put him down, and I still miss that guy.

31. Heart disease is fairly common in cats. Unfortunately, they are often asymptomatic

until the "big one."

(siblings) both with heart disease in the past few years. I miss them so.

She had a fairly good run (I know, we all want the cat who lives to 18+), and she was with you when she passed. For a cardiac kitty, that's actually pretty good.

May your memories of her make you smile, more than missing her makes you cry. I've been struggling with this one for the past few months after losing my dearly beloved calico to heart disease in November.
