Captain Phil Harris suffers stroke! (Deadliest Catch) |
|
ne of my favorite shows on tv...I liked following the action on his ship......what a bummer....
The famed star of the Discovery Channel's, "Deadliest Catch," Captain Phil Harris has suffered a stroke and was medivacked to a local hospital in St. Paul, Alaska. His son, Josh Harris, stated on the crew's web page that his father is in a hospitial where, Cornelia Marie Devlin, co-owner of the ship, and Jake Harris are with him.
Jake Harris is Captain Phil's youngest son and is a deckhand on the crab fishing vessel "Cornelia Marie" captained by his father.
Hamilton County General Sessions Court Judge Bob Moon, who is friends with "Northwestern" fishing boat deckhand, "Matt Bradley, said today that Harris suffered the serious incident while unloading a fresh catch and was taken to St. Paul Clinic where he is receiving the best care possible."

2. Well given his medical history not surprising... |
|
He had a incident a few years ago with blood clots, IIRC.
Hope he recovers.

3. I was disappointed when I saw him smoking after all that..... |
|
He seems like a good guy. but when they stop caring, they stop caring. Too bad. What would be fun is to follow him through the healthcare situation for the rest of his life. Especially now that he has lot his source of income.....
I have a ton of long time friends that are the same age (so am I)that just don't care anymore. They get sick and don't go the hospital or let infection get so bad they are hospitalized for weeks...I had a really good friend die a few years ago at 52 and the family told me he "just gave up" when I asked them how he died....
I have one that really hurt himself during the summer, almost killed him, and he still drinks. And alcohol is why he is where he is. Bedridden. In A Wheelchair pissing and pooping into bags... Sad stuff.

5. Addiction is a difficult thing |
|
All the health reasons in the world never would have helped me to quit smoking. I just couldn't afford to buy them anymore. If they were still cheap I would still be smoking, no matter how many blackened lung you showed me. Just being honest.
