4. Back in the 80's I was living in rural Pennsylvania...

...about 20-25 miles WNW of Philly (close to, but not quite
Amish country). Rural suburbs with a HIGH percentage of very
well-educated contractors with their own little businesses
like plumbing and carpentry and excavation, etc.. Literate,
fun, big-hearted just-plain-folks. I was an older student
working his way through college in a locally-owned wholesale
greenhouse.

That mix of people helped create what was the absolute BEST
bar in the whole wide world (and believe this, coming from me
that's one hundred real mouthfuls). Used to smoke pot on the
front walkway next to a rough-barked oak. Traditionally, we
stuck the roaches into the bark for those dry desperate times
of no dope. No one EVER just harvested them all -- they were
left there for their original communal purpose. Evil fucking
socialists, we were.

Super Bowl Sunday just around the corner and one of the regulars
could get a ton of 'shrooms. We decided to hold a "Shrooper Bowl
Sunday" celebration. The bar-owners had rented a gigantamundous
projection TV for the game and, being unaware of OUR decision,
were clueless as to why we all seemed to be having the time of
our lives, but only half-a-dozen people were even aware there was
a major sporting event going on.

Packed bar, HAPPY sweaty bouncy upbeat hilarious BEE-YOO-TEE-FUL
packed bar -- and I don't think I'm exaggerating in saying that
3/4 of us had partaken.

13. Ok I can see them moving the Pro Bowl to before the Superbowl BUT

Why move it to from Hawaii to Florida? That is so stupid. Here you have a state that has no Football franchise, and welcomes the NFL with an "Aloha" spirit, and besides, it brings even more tourism to Hawaii, .. Now the NFL has basically kicked Hawaii in the face, and are bringing Football fans to a place many of them have been to many times in the past.

If I were the Governor of Hawaii, I might be a bit miffed at the NFL. What is this snub against the state? Is it because Obama was born there.. or what?

The only reason I think it was moved is because the two Super Bowl teams who had players needed to be in Miami for practice. :shrug:
