As others have mentioned, Creed at least deserves an honorable mention. Then there are all those terrible grind/emo-core and hard rock wannabes that have come around recently like Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin and Theory of a Deadman. And when I first heard the band Hinder, I swore that nobody would be taking the suck crown from them any time soon. There's just an incredible amount of very bad music out there right now. Nickleback is certainly awful, shitty tripe, but I'm not sure they're the worst. Damned close though.

I don't get the wave of whiny bands. All the great bands throughout time, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Nirvana, Lynard Skynard, etc, none were whiny. They may have screamed but that fine, musical. The who whiny voice thing sucks. Oh I second the Coldplay sucking as well.
