They Didn't Deliver The Mail Here Because Of The Snow Yesterday... |
|
So much for that old motto. The only other time I remember that happening was in Ohio during a blizzard that lasted three days and dumped more than three feet of snow on us. Everything was shut down for days.
Funny thing is, I might not have noticed except I was supposed to get some movies from Netflix yesterday. So I guess it is possible it may have happened before and I just didn't realize it.

1. During the blizzard of 96 they stopped service as well |
|
Considering we had 30 inches of snow here, I can well understand not getting mail...

2. The Letter Carriers have Sunday off. |
|
They have rotating days off. First week they have Sunday/Monday off. Second week they have Sunday/ Tuesday off, etc. Every six weeks they get Friday/Saturday/Sunday off, then the cycle starts over again.

4. I live at the bottom of a steep hill and do not expect mail if we have |
|
*Snowfall *Heavy rain *Extremely muddy conditions
I also live 4.4 miles from the nearest pavement.
Heck, I won't go out in that sort of mess. Why expect my letter carrier to do so?
