Shoot, my DVD player suddenly has no sound.
It was fine last night, but today, no sound. I checked all three remotes (cable, TV, DVD player) and none of them are on mute. Tried several different DVD's, and it's the same -- no sound. x(

1. Same thing happened to me.
But it coincided with a move from one location to another. DVD player worked fine at old place; mute in new place (with same DVD's). Have had several people check it out; nobody can figure out what's wrong. Got new cables. Didn't work. It seems an odd coincidence that the sound function died at the exact moment that I moved.

If you figure it out, let me know.

3. I haven't moved it, but your situation is pretty weird too.

2. Doublecheck your connectors.
My PS3 does that if the HDMI cable is loose.

5. No problem. Had the same issue earlier this week.
So the solution was fresh in my mind.

Plus I used to manage an electronics store, back when they did repairs too, so I'm pretty good at troubleshooting things.

6. What in the world is a PS3 and an HDMI?

7. PlayStation 3 and a cable for high definition signals, respectively.
