Can Famke Janssen act?
I haven't seen her give an interesting performance since her 1992 appearance in ST:TNG's episode The Perfect Mate.

Which airs tonight, by the way.

2. Was she that female automaton in The Bourne Supremacy?
Oh. That was Franka Potente.
Never mind.
But, by the way, I don't think Franka Potente can act.
(What's with these names, anyway?)

12. Franka Potente is a German national;
hence, the foreign name.

Famke Jannsen is Dutch.

Neither has an opinion on *your* acting ability...

14. Good grief!
I was amused at my own inability to tell the names apart. They are, for the fuzzy brained among us, somewhat similar names.
And since neither actress is a exactly a marquee name, easy for the fuzzy brained among us to confuse. Foreign? You really think I was complaining about foreigners?
Cheeeeesh.

15. And furthermore...
The op asked for our opinions on acting!
Again, CHEESH.

6. I have no Idea who that is, but since the last 2 films I've seen featured Jack Black....
I'm gonna nominate he/she for a motherloving OSCAR!.

8. High Fidelity.
It was the role where the character he is/plays actually fit the script.

He was interesting in "King Kong" too. That was a great monkey suit.

9. In fairness to him, he was also pretty entertaining in Tropic Thunder
But too often he's just Jack Black playing Jack Black.

And not even just Jack Black. He plays Annoying Jack Black, with the same wide-eyed, hyper-emotive facial expressions and tone of voice.

You see it once, you've seen just about his whole repertoire.

10. When you look like this, you don't need to be able to act:

11. You have to be able to at least act like you like men oogling you like a chunk of meat
Probably not always as easy as it seems.

13. Who cares if she can act or not?
I'll watch her films just to see her. Though she did a good job in some Woody Allen flick, which I've forgotten. And Goldeneye.

17. Decent, not great
In the right role she does decent work.

As an aside, sometimes a bad acting job is the fault of the director, not the actor/actress. A good example of this is Star Wars 1-3, when even Natalie Portman and Ewan Mcgregor give a bad performance.
