need mac & windows help please...is this windows 7...or is this just an upgrade from earlier windows

1. That's an upgrade version

You have to have Windows 7 Starter Edition to use it.

I don't think you can get the Starter Edition unless you buy a PC with it already installed on it. But you may be able to find a cheap upgrade from another version of Windows.

I finally found where you can only get starter7 on a pc...

on I'm gonna have to by the new 7....I don't have windows at all....
and there is no way around it. it's county business.
they wrote to CD to only be installed on PCs, windows.

I only need it through tuesday, but I'm gonna go ahead and get it for those times when this type thing happens.
I get stuck. Doesn't happen much, but enough that it is critical for Tuesday.

7. I've never heard of Fry's before...

I just looked them up, and they should have what you need, whether you buy a cheap laptop or Windows 7. They should be able to help you out with that.
