Poll question: Favorite Stooge
Of course, with #s 7 and 8, this is a definition of "favorite" that we probably haven't encountered before.

1. You left off 'regular' Joe (Besser)
Not that anyone would vote for him.

5. You're right, and you're right, respectively
Usually, I'm mortified about making mistakes, but I'm actually kind of pleased that I forgot Joe Besser. May we all do the same. (I mean, I'm sure he was a lovely person, but that voice.)

7. Wasn't W Cheny's stooge? But not nearly as smart as Moe
nor as quick witted as Curly. Gotta go with Curly.

9. Voted for Shemp Howard
Edited on Mon Mar-01-10 02:40 PM by Urban Prairie
Because many Stooge fans prefer Curly Q. Link instead, and although Curly was better than Shemp, he wasn't a terrible Stooge, like Joe Besser and that other Stooge, Curly Joe Di Rita, who was a sissified wuss.

"Owww!! "Stop that, you're hurting me!!"

10. I liked Mo.
And no, not just for the awesome haircut either.

He seemed really mean and grumpy, but I think he was just mostly misunderstood.

Plus he was a very accomplished eye-gouger, shin-kicker, nose-twister, head-popper.

And those are so hard to find these days.

14. Sorry for the confusion.
Should've known my stooges better than that.

I even took Stooge103 in college as a precursor to an American Civics class.

But I was smoking a fatty behind the dumpsters on the day they covered the actual stooge names and spelling.

My mistake.

I never knew about the capital E though.

You are right, the stooges had some anger management issues for sure.

That big black heavy telephone to the forhead was a dead giveaway.

16. Without Moe you had no discipline.
The other stooges would have been on the streets, jail or a mental institution if not for Moe. He was like a strict parent or teacher who had the best interest the other stooges in mind. It was tough love.

He himself said that he was, what is nowadays
called, "a stooge" to Charles Foster Kane.
