Love these actresses and the show's produced by Sean Hayes from Will & Grace, with writer from Frasier...

TV LAND GREENLIGHTS FIRST ORIGINAL SITCOM SERIES, “HOT IN CLEVELAND,”

STARRING VALERIE BERTINELLI, JANE LEEVES AND WENDIE MALICK

Network Picks Up 10 Episodes To Air June 2010

New York, NY, March 1, 2010 – TV Land announced today that it has greenlit 10 episodes of the original comedy sitcom “Hot in Cleveland,” starring a sensational veteran cast of Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves with Betty White in the pilot episode. “Hot in Cleveland” is written by Emmy Award-winning Suzanne Martin (“Frasier,” “Ellen”) and is produced by Emmy Award-winner Sean Hayes (“Will & Grace”) and Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions. “Hot in Cleveland” is a TV Land PRIME original production and is the network’s first venture into scripted comedy series. The series is scheduled to air June 2010.

“We are thrilled that ‘Hot in Cleveland’ is TV Land’s first original sitcom,” states Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land. “The talented cast has amazing chemistry and delivers the clever script from a renowned sitcom writer with hilarity and sincerity. This show has enormous potential and we are so excited to be a part of it.”

“Hot in Cleveland” revolves around three fabulous, LA women of a certain age and best friends (Bertinelli, Leeves and Malick). Their lives are changed forever when their plane – headed for Paris – unexpectedly lands in Cleveland and they soon rediscover themselves in this new “promised land.” Loving their new home, the women find themselves living under one roof and battling the sassy caretaker of the property they have rented, played by Betty White.

2. Four actresses that I've loved at various points in my TV watching lifetime
Though the premise sounds a bit "Golden Girlish":

Loving their new home, the women find themselves living under one roof and battling the sassy caretaker of the property they have rented, played by Betty White.

I guess having one of the two remaining Golden Girls in the cast pushes me to that comparison just a wee bit.

3. Sounds good, except maybe the part about the plane...
Buy a ticket to Paris, "unexpectedly" land in Cleveland, and you have to find an apartment there? Sorry, there had to be a better way to get these fishes out of their water.

Sassy...

6. Sounds promising. I gave up watching sitcoms years ago.
I would give this one a look-see.

7. Gee women on TV wear weird clothes. What have they done to Leeves?
I can hardly recognize her.
