Unless, he's after Bugs Bunny, of course.

3. Our rabbit gets a special plate of fine greens and strawberries on Easter.
He's a real cuddle. Even if I ate meat, he wouldn't make half a meal. Tiny little shit.

4. Tra Vigne in St. Helena used to have it as their Easter special
It was yummy. Easter Sunday, packed restaurant, lots of kids. Me with a big old grin scarfing down the roast rabbit.

I don't know if they had it on their kid's menu.

seriesly, I just made friends with a shiny black rabbit who lives in the courtyard outside my building. Peter/Petra is even softer than a cat... ahhhhhhhh...

6. Is it cultural or religious?
I know a bunch of families who only have lamb on Easter (which I guess I always found a little sacrilegious what with the whole "lamb of God" thing and all.)

My family always has ham and I'm pretty sure that's cultural (English descent). Although I suppose it could be religious and now that you've asked about bunnies (sorry, don't know anyone who eats rabbit for Easter), it has me curious.

Good, now I have something to Google and preoccupy me. Thanks. (That's a good thing.)

27. Lamb is the most traditional thing over here (England)
and I think in most Catholic countries as well.

The old Latin service books actually had a blessing of lamb for Easter lunch.

10. When I was about four, my mom spent all day making a bunny-shaped cake with coconut and Easter grass
and decorations for Easter Sunday. When I saw it I cried and refused to eat "the Easter Bunny."

11. Some buddies of mine and I went rabbit hunting one Easter morning.
Of course, we were drunk at the time. Came home sans rabbit. Wonder we didn't shoot each other.

Ah, good times!

does that count?

(We had other food on the table of course, and the kids were the right age to think it hilarious!)

24. I keep threatening to make Easter Bunny Stew each Easter,
but it always ends up with the usual ham. I guess I'm the only one in the family that gets it. I did make "Roast Leg of Lamb of God" one year, though. I left off the "of God" in my description to the guests, though. Nobody got it, but everyone ate it up. What a waste of an opportunity.

29. Only chocolate ones, and then usually after Easter when they go on sale.
Although last year, many stores had already removed easter candy from display the day after easter rather than sell it cheap.
Capitalist bastards....
