Because the Nats are an underdog team and cause the Phillies have won their Division several years in a row. They are the Yankees of the NL....Oh yeah and just cause its Philly...DC>>>Philly!

Not only are they the winningest team in the NL, but they're also the sexiest! And once Jayson gets that beard under control, all will be right with the world again. :P

Complacency will be their downfall this year.

I will admit, Howard looks like a ballplayer again,

Ouch, that bruised, LOL.

Eh, I don't care about any of the East teams. I am a West fan in both leagues.

Dodgers and Mariners! :bounce:

8. The Marlins are my NL East team, God help me.
I also root for the Rockies and Dodgers in the West and the Cards in Central.

I also root against the AL and everything it stands for.

27. The Marlins are my NL East team too. Go Fish (unless it's against the O's)!
And thanks to the stadium going up at the site of the old Orange Bowl, they are actually staying in South Florida for the forseeable future, which is a great thing. I wouldn't want my daughter to grow up in an area without a MLB team.

30. Yes, especially if...
...winning the Series makes all the damn bandwagon jumpers go away. I can't stand them. They are only "fans" because it has become trendy to be a Cubs fan. They think it's "cool" to sit out in the bleachers and get drunk, but are completely ignorant of the game. These are the assholes that give Cubs fans the reputation of not knowing anything about baseball. I think a World Series win would purge them, much like it did all the fair-weather Braves fans down here.

I don't know which will happen first. Let's see how the Ricketts family runs things. Trying not to get my hopes up...

Who is this? Cboy? :hide:

In all honesty I don't care who wins the NL East. Though if I was forced to pick somebody I'd say the Nats or Mets. I wouldn't mind if the Phillies won it only if the Rock show made the postseason for a rematch of last years NLDS.

Who do the Diamondbacks open with? For the first time in memory I will be out of town for opening day, and I'm thinking nobody is going to be airing the Nats game in AZ...:)

However I'm not a DBacks fan. I was a Rockies fan before the DBacks even existed so I remained a fan with Colorado when the DBacks did start up.

Fox Sports Arizona shows nearly every DBacks game so I think they'll air them when they play the Nats. AZ was a last place team themselves. :)

15. I root for the Gnats all the time - unless they are playing the Phillies-
I LOVE it when they beat the Marlins, Braves, or the Mets. I hope the Gnats finish up #2 in the NL East, after the Phils.

Phillies are going to the Series again this year, and will win.

29. Yes, they've joined the NL Central. They figure they might have a shot at competing...
...in a weaker division.

As I mentioned in another reply, I've got my NL East team already:

I can somewhat sympathize with being tired of the whole AL East thing. That's exactly how I feel about the NFC East.
