If your boss asked (in one email) for one thing at the beginning of March and the other for Q2 |
|
would you think he or she meant that they wanted those things on the SAME DAY?
I am beyond frustrated right now.

1. Q1 is January through March. |
|
Q2 starts in April and goes through June.

2. Right. So I prepared the early March item in draft and sent it |
|
and got back a response asking for both things, as if I'd done it wrong.

3. I would think anything but on the same day - they specifically listed |
|
two different months. It sounds like your boss got confused about calendars, and is trying to dump the screw-up on you...

typical m.o. with this boss. I always feel as if I'm in the wrong, even if (especially if) I followed instructions to the letter. Whereas if I try to add anything to the scope of the project myself, again, did it wrong!

I ask for dates. "Q2" is entirely too vague.

That might have caused him or her to narrow it down a bit.

7. You're probably better off asking him/her than us |
|
I would ask for clarification of the second date - "for Q2" is pretty vague.
