5. Just park it anywhere. And leave the keys in it too.
The always friendly & conscientious local residents will be sure that it is cared for properly & that no harm will come to it.

15. Free parking
by Columbia University. When I visit my son there, I just park and then take a cab or subway. Hell of a lot cheaper and getting in and out of the city via GWB is a cinch.

18. what part of Manhattan are you driving to?
Edited on Fri Mar-05-10 11:40 AM by soleft
It is possible to find parking on the street. Some garages will charge up to $40.00.

Down by the seaport there's an out door lot that charges $25.00 for 24 hours - and you keep your keys.

22. Depending upon how patient you are, it is possible to find a
metered parking space. The Upper West or the Upper East Sides are good because a lot of people who have cars go away for the weekends.

23. where are you driving from? I usually park around 23rd and Broadway. Uptown is hugely expensive.
But most of the time now I don't drive all the way in. Drive to outskirts, park at train station and then take the train for last leg in.
