5. Repeat of last year, perhaps? Another showdown, perhaps?
Hamels seems to think he has a few new pitches under his belt, not to mention a new technique

7. Halladay debuted today. A beautiful start.

:)

Hamels has a few new pitches, Howard has been slimming down and toning up, and Lidge appears to be getting his groove back.

If we make it to another World Series, I hope it's not with NYY. It would be nice to be up against a team that displays more character and good sportsmanship, and a lot less steroids and arrogance.

9. Yes he did, TZ!
And thanks for spelling his name correctly. I have to go fix my spelling now. I always get his and Matt Holliday's names confused. :P

12. LOL.
Fwiw, I'm no longer an Eagles fan - and I will continue to not be an Eagles fan, as long as Vick is a part of the team. I didn't watch a single game this past season.

Its also a possibility that McNabb won't be either....

I guess. He was Dallas killer. He should be careful with those concussions.

20. Brian Dawkins last year, Brian Westbrook this year.
Two devastating losses to the team - well, at least that's how the fans feel.

They tossed two dynamic players with team spirit and great character, and hired a dog killer. Awesome. :sarcasm:

22. Sports teams will always be morally ambiguous, if not immoral, in their decisions.
Dallas and Philadelphia are good examples.

At least you care.

26. All my life, I heard the Eagles club owners say.....
"We're a character team". What they were implying, is that they only contracted players with character. They didn't want to be known for any sort of corruption on their team.

Then they go and hire T.O. Epic disaster. I thought they learned their lesson. I thought wrong.

I sure as fuck didn't, and knew there were going to be problems with his monstrous ego

Losing him could be costly. This annoyed me almost as much as the Dawkins move. Eagles are just out of touch..

24. McNabb, at least to an outsider, is a great QB.
He is another one who has consistently beat Dallas.

Why do Eagles' fans, or at least some, hate him so?

30. No...don't hate him at all. He just ran out of steam, and drive
not unusual in the least for anyone who has been around the block as many times as he has, or made as many playoff appearances with nothing to show for it at the end.

His accuracy has also diminished

34. Dallas fans fear McNabb like few other QBs.
It is a rational fear.

He needs a running game, a solid O-Line and mature receivers.

He's normal.

35. The biggest problem I see is that he does NOT get the protection he needs
the receivers being young is not all that much of a concern, but let's face it..the guy throws too damn many interceptions. Interesting to hear Dallas fears him...

40. I don't care about wins. I care about loyalty.
Skank stadium: Where the hell are all their loyal fans? Oh, wait.

Phillies stadium: overflowing attendance, much like religious zealots on Sunday.

Skank fans come and go, but Phillies fans are lifelong fans. 'nuff said.

43. Best was how well Halliday did
Was hoping Escalona did better, though, as our bullpen is a question mark.

If Hamels does better and Happ has another good year, 2010 could be special again.
