8. One left an everlasting impression
I think it was Bob's Pretty Good Airline from Greenville NC to Charlotte.
Ok - I don't know what the real name was. But at 6AM on a Saturday The pilot checked the tickets, loaded the baggage and made sure we were seated before takeoff. I believe we cruised less than 1000 feet all the way.

22. LOL
When I was young, my father frequently flew to Syracuse, Albany, and Utica for business, usually on Brockaway Air North or Empire. All that was missing was Snoopy wearing his scarf and leather helmet.

11. I hate flying, worse than most anything. Nevertheless...
Pan Am
PSA (the smiling planes)
Northwest
TWA
Hawaiian
Delta
United
American
AeroMexico

And a few where I had to make my peace with the idea that I was going die before I got to where I was going, much more so than the reputable airlines I've listed, strapped to a bench suffering cold sweaty obsessions of metal fatigue.

I'm old enough that I remember what it was like for me to fit comfortably in an ordinary airline seat and eat real food that I hadn't brought myself.

I hate flying, worse than most anything. I really do.

None in WAY too long.

Pan Am

Lufthansa
Seaboard World Airlines: Mostly a cargo airline that contracted to fly troops
overseas. August North Carolina runway, dress green uniforms, No A/C until
after takeoff. Flight attendant counts one too many people on her head count.
A sweat-streaming hour or so, checking orders against her flight manifest
ONE...BY...ONE and when they finally get to the very LAST row of seats, they
discover the giant Teddy bear one GI had bought to send back to his little girl.
.
They went out of business some time after that. May they burn in NC runway
no A/C dress green Hell.

And MANY hours with:

Air Cav Troop, 2d ACR and the
101st Airborne Division

let's see if I can remember them all:
Note - this list doesn't include the regional airlines that operate planes for the bigger companies. I just use the name of the bigger ones instead.

US Air/US Airways
Lufthansa
Northwest
Southwest
Delta
United

17. Here goes:
People's Express (as a kid)
US Air
Southwest
AirTran
American Eagle
Delta Song

And there was one airline which I believe is now defunct that I flew on once in college and the name just escapes me. I flew from Orlando to Baltimore, but I had a layover in Raleigh. The leg from Orlando to Raleigh was a regular jet liner, but the leg from Raleigh to Baltimore was via turboprop with a stopover in Norfolk.

The majority of my flying has been with Airtran. Good airline.

31. Braniff was my first one
I liked it.

How about on one trip? Once when NWA was on srike, I eneded up on five airlines on one trip. I also went to eight states (it was a three-legged trip).

Alaska Airlines from Seattle to Phoenix
United Airlines from Phoenix to Chicago
American Airlines from Chicago to Toledo
Delta Airlines from Toledo to Fort Wayne to Atlanta to Washington DC
TWA from Washington DC to St. Louis to Seattle

Note: I was going to Michigan and as you can see, none of the planes landed or took off from there!
