If so, I'd be interested in hearing about your experiences/horror stories. I recently left a job in the industry after (among other reasons) growing sick of the culture of lying to customers in order to line the pockets of corporate fat cats.

1. Not me, but my son.
He worked for Enterprise. A really terrible place to work.

Check out: http://www.failingenterprise.com/fan_mail/failing_enterprise_fan_mail_0051-0075.htm for horror stories from former employees.

2. That's what I've heard
What were his main complaints about it?

3. Long hours, low pay, inept management.
He was "supposed" to get a management job, but they brought in someone from an office they had recently closed. Who knows if he was even considered for it?

It was several years ago, so I don't remember all the details, but he complained constantly and bitterly about Enterprise. I do remember they were pressured to sell the insurance to customers. Also, someone hit a car he was driving and they treated him like it was all his fault. I think they fire anyone who has had two accidents. He was also called in on his scheduled day off many times.

We live in an area with few job opportunities. It looked promising at first, but turned out to be a nightmare.

4. I didn't work for Enterprise, but many of my experiences were similar
Mainly, what I didn't like was being constantly used as a scapegoat. If they didn't sense that you had found your calling in life in renting cars, they would try to pressure you to quit through constant writeups for every little mistake you made, even things that weren't your fault.

They also had no mercy on you if you got speeding tickets
