I just love this movie.

It is on now, but watered down for television.

AMC ran it at least 16 times last week: twice back-to-back each night, and at least one time during two other days. Too much!

Look for the anti-war vet who escorts Tom Hanks onto the stage at the Washington D.C. Mall. That's Jay Ross, an acting buddy of mine from long ago at Old Dominion University. We did a couple of plays together in the late 80's, and he bartended for a restaurant my sister managed. Good guy, and was hoping his work as a speaking extra in "Gump" would help open some doors for him.

I'm a little embarrassed to say that it's one of my favorite movies. I'm reluctant to mention another of my favorite movies, but it rhymes with "Crincess Pride".

12. I hated it. Maybe it was that right wing freak Gary Sinise. I can't believe that HBO

- which often has very good historical dramas - picked that bastard to play Harry Truman. It was possibly the worst casting in history.

For my money, Forrest Gump is not a particularly good movie. Way too much of a cartoon, particularly about a very bitter war.
