I FIGURED OUT THE IDENTITY OF A SONG!
Imagine trying to figure out the title of or artist behind a well-known tune that isn't in English and doesn't even have a coherent hook. I'd heard it many times throughout my life, most recently in a car commercial(!), but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it was. I couldn't look it up by title on YouTube or iTunes, and I couldn't successfully describe it to anyone in person or online that could help me. In fact, I couldn't transcribe a single lyric from memory, even phonetically...

As it turns out, this is why it was so difficult: not only is the song not in English, but it's in a language that VERY few popular songs are written in, at least ones that cross over into this country. And the title is BARELY in the chorus--to those who aren't in the know, the name of the song could be just about anything. But once you hear it, you may recognize it immediately, as it was really popular about 50 years ago...

So THIS is the song it took me hours to identify. Could you have done it?

1. Twenty plus years as a radio, mobile and club DJ.
I would have found it, but this one would not be easy. I have found many songs in foreign languages on the spot at weddings. It's always a rush when you can find something a Grandmother has not heard since she was a girl. Good work.

What commercial is that from? I know I've heard the chorus before.

4. That is used in many Music texts
A lot of Music Teachers (me included) use it in lessons. There is a dance that goes with it, part of a fold dance lesson. I've always liked it!
