7. Best line from a Hughes film
Edited on Mon Mar-08-10 06:12 AM by AllenVanAllen

Cameron has never been in love - at least, nobody's ever been in love with him. If things don't change for him, he's gonna marry the first girl he lays, and she's gonna treat him like shit, because she will have given him what he has built up in his mind as the end-all, be-all of human existence. She won't respect him, 'cause you can't respect somebody who kisses your ass. It just doesn't work. - Ferris Bueller

11. Macaulay is only in his 20s still (and technically was NOT a Brat Pack member)
Home Alone was one of Hughes later films and Macaulay was only 9 when he was in that first film.

All the others were in earlier Hughes films and were teenagers and then some when they did the movies.

12. I know he was up there because of the Home Alone franchise. Still, he
turns 30 this year and looks exactly like he did when he was 9. So far he hasn't aged at all.

21. She does look good, and I have seen her in many things since the 80's
...but, somehow, my mind plays this trick on me. If I haven't seen her in a while, mentally, she reverts to being the Molly Ringwald of "Sixteen Candles."

20. I'm the only 42 y/o in America who never saw his movies
So I can't really say.

All i know is that I can't forgive him for ruining the musical paths of Simple Minds and Psychedelic Furs...

22. As a Director, he made two "must see" movies
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" are really his best work, although (in some ways) he is more widely remembered for the brat pack films - "Sixteen Candles", "Pretty in Pink", "Wierd Science", and "The Breakfast Club."

As a writer/producer, the "Vacation" and "Home Alone" films are probably his best achievements.

My personal Hughes favorites, aside from the first two films I mentioned, are "She's Having a Baby", "Uncle Buck", and "Only the Lonely"
