From Twitter: James Cameron, pick up on line one. It's "SUCK IT!" |
|
And from one of my Facebook friends:
"All guys who leave their wives for young actress chicks should have to feel that kind of emasculating sadness."

4. And how much money has Hurt Locker grossed? |
|
Poor Jim Cameron is crying all the way to the bank. And his wife is 48, hardly a young chick.

5. Yeah! Let's measure movie quality in box office receipts! |
|
By that measure The Phantom Menace is one of the best movies of all time!

7. Casablanca and Citizen Kane combined don't have the gravitas of Jar-Jar Binks alone |
|
and that's without even mentioning the landmark intensity of the performance by Watto.

6. The "young chick" was Linda Hamilton. |
|
Back when he was making the first Terminator with her. He's had several wives since then.

11. She was 28 at the time. His wife was in her 30's. |
|
So yeah--he left her for a younger actress. Not decades younger--but not to worry, he accomplished that later when he proceeded to have an affair with Suzy Amis (born 1962, had a small part in Titanic) and left yet another wife for...a younger actress chick. Note the fact that in both of these cases, the younger actresses were both women that he was in a position of authority over. There's a word for a man who repeatedly pursues the women who work under his authority, trading in older wives for newer, younger models. It's not a nice one.
In my view, he's a fickle, egotistical asshole with an admittedly incredible amount of talent, but who lacks any loyalty to or respect for the women he gets involved with. Yes indeed, James Cameron can "Suck It."

10. Actually that was Susy Amos who he married After Hamilton |
|
She was in Titantic. Apparently he falls for women in the films he's working on, though he's been with Amos a long time. Her appearance was abit alarming.

12. Actually it was both. |
|
And probably others, too. I think he's been married, what, five times? I'll give him credit--his last marriage has lasted for ten years now, which is the best he's ever managed, but the cynical part of me wonders if that's because he finally found a woman who's willing to look the other way while he has affairs at work. God knows he has a history of it.

9. This Cameron V Bigelow Crap Is Silly, IMO |
|
I'm sure the Hurt Locker is a great movie (haven't seen it yet).
Bigelow won the Oscar because the only way Hollywood is ever going to award a female director with that statue is if she can make a GUY's movie.
