How did you block in all the dark? Is that ink or charcoal?

It's just a Uni-Ball Vision Elite Black Pen on Drawing Paper. I blocked in all the dark spaces simply by coloring them in...took a long time...

My scanner's footprint is a little too small, so the right and bottom are slightly cut off. But, all in all, I am happy with this.

I'm in Alaska. We have a small blizzard going on right now. It's 52 past midnight and 26 degrees with a stiff wind from the north. I work the midnight to 9 shift, I usually don't sleep until the weekend.
