When he took over the Green Lantern title in 1970, and he made Green Arrow his title-sharing co-star, it was a new era.

I enjoyed the Mike Grell version from the late 80's. A battered liberal, and more of a hard-edged vigilante, but the Reagan years were tough like that. :D

Plus, it was set in Seattle. The "Suggested for Mature Readers" byline is no joke. No trick arrows either, which made him completely realistic.
