So has spring arrived at your house.
We have another cold front but I think spring is here for the most part.

Some of the birds have come back and are singing all day.

Wild flowers will be here soon.

The yards and plants are still thrashed from the winter cold.

Today I had to wear shorts, to hot for long pants.

Some of the trees are budding out.

2. Yes it has. Mid 50's, dead skunks as roadkill and I saw a bobcat.
It's mating season here. Not so upset about the skunks.
Seeing a bobcat was very cool.
I am planning on sprouting seeds. Winter always seems so long.
I judge when spring will be early or late by the way my longhair
cat sheds her mane. On that note spring will be early this year
in my neck of the woods.

8. It's warming up...and the spring rains are beginning
Tomorrow will be unusually warm, but next week should be in the low to mid 50s - It's supposed to rain quite a bit in the coming days, so yeah, I'd say spring is here.

12. The snow is getting very thin, and the Canada geese are flying
over the house. When the red wing black birds come to my bird feeders, I know spring has arrived. This hasn't happened yet.

13. I'm hoping it has and is here to stay
This was an awful winter. I still have one glob of very dirty snow on my front lawn. I'm hoping the 64 degree temps tomorrow take care of it.

No budding trees here yet, but I did see a few tulip shoots - very exciting!

15. The pear tree is in bloom, the forsythia is getting ready to bloom
Gladiolas are coming up and the daffodils are almost finished blooming. But the goldfinches are still here and they leave when it is really spring. I got an email the other day from the hummingbird bander - the western hummers that winter in this area have headed home and our ruby throats are arriving from their winter territory.

I'm ready for the over wintering birds to go home - I am spending more feeding them than I am on feeding my four horses!

30. LOL! Here we have Spring, Hot & Muggy, Fall and Chilly & Wet
Edited on Wed Mar-10-10 08:25 PM by csziggy
Better than where I grew up in Central Florida where we had Spring, Too Damn Long Summer, Fall and Brisk.

Dad went to college in Upper Peninsula Michigan. Mom swore they did actually have summer - for about two weeks. Spring and Fall lasted a month or less each and the rest of the year was Winter. It was hard on an Alabama gal who had spent the War in Hawaii.

19. Never really got cold for me...
Afghanistan went from a bit brisk and we are expecting triple digits by the end of the month.

I heard that back home in Germany spring reared its head and then promptly was smacked down by another heap of snow.

Spring will be here soon enough.

Actually, I was just informed that we broke the all time low high temperature for this date. Used to be 34, set back in the early 1900's.

here at our house and howling winds...two to three feet in higher elevations. Two avalanches closed the Seward Highway yesterday. The temp is 12 degrees. We won't be seeing spring here for another month and a half at least.
