Dad is finally getting out of the hospital...
finally!

Don't even ask about the rest.

The good news is, he will be at a lower risk of infection by leaving that place.

If he has his other knee operated on, down the road, I'm going to insist someone provide me heavy-duty tranquilizers before going out there.

Sigh.

7. Thank you, OhioChick
Yes, very stressful. Sort of seems like an understatement now... looking back at the past 9 days.

10. As far as I know he's home now...
due to reasons I won't get into, I'll have to wait to hear from him now.

Thanks, bigwillq

11. I'm thrilled to hear about it, HG.
Good for him, and you could use a break from the stress, I'm betting...

Here's to HG's Dad getting to go home! :toast:

14. Thank you, Peggy
My older sister called & said my Dad is doing pretty well... resting at home. Too bad they couldn't do both knees. But I'm one to believe everything happens for a reason. Not sure what the reasons were in this case, though!
