and I can't think of a 4 Tops song that wasn't great or close to it, at all. And yeah, Jamerson was at the heart of the Motown groove. His son, who I think I've mentioned as being an acquaintance of mine , calls his father a musical genius. No argument here...( James Jr. is no slouch on the bass either, BTW)....And Levi Stubbs was one of those people whom I could have listened to sing absolutely anything, and be enthralled by it.
