I went to a dance tonight

a blues band. some of the music was okay, mostly it was slow dancing.

so Im there with a couple of women I have known for 20 yrs.

but Im a widow. so are they.

and one of us is almost 70, she dances better than most 30 yr olds. the woman is amazing (her daughter was pretty famous, in a rock band at one time)

but the whole damned thing sucked. because it is for couples. Im not complaining , I know couples need to dance, but for petes sake not everyone IS a couple.

And to top it off, some idiotic 20 something girl comes up to us and says "Oh you ladies remind me of the YaYa sisterhood!"


we rolled our eyes and left.

so much for me going back to any frigging dances again.

I am staying home with the dogs from now on.

It would have been much worse if you'd been there by yourself.
