So I'm watching this Twilight movie....
Could they be trying any harder to mimic James Dean?

To bad Bella isn't more talented like perhaps Natalie Wood.

And what's up with all the pale people? I mean even the obligatory black kid looks pale.

1. I got the feeling they "bled" the color out in post-production.
The whole color palette is anemic.

3. Nah, typical "Girl gets beaten and tortured for your viewing pleasure."
Except they don't cop to the prurience of it the way something like True Blood does.

10. That's part of their look
Unlike other vampire stories, these vampires do not need to go out only at night. It seems that the only issue is direct sunlight, that causes their skin to sparkle. If you saw the first movie, you'd learn all about that. The Vampires love the Pacific Northwest because it is so overcast. In fact the Cullen family reside in a home within the forest to keep the direct sun off of them. And the days that it would be really sunny, the vampires would stay home from school (Using the excuse of a family outting).

6. I got a Dean "vibe" on Pattenson when he was on the Daily Show
So you aren't the only one who thinks so. Haven't seen Twilight, probably won't watch it, but I think his management is trying to give people the idea that Pattenson is Dean reincarnated.
