Super-sized mother determined to become world's fattest woman in two years.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1257850/Super-sized-mother-determined-worlds-fattest-woman-years.html

Donna Simpson already weighs 43st, but she is determined to nearly double her size to become the world's fattest woman.

The 42-year-old from New Jersey, U.S, is set on reaching the 1,000lb mark (71st) in just two years. Remarkably she insists she is healthy, despite now needing a mobility scooter when she goes shopping.

2. It's essentially a perfect Lounge story. The only thing that could make it better...
is if she was on an all-Olive Garden diet.

3. My American reading of the article stumped me for a minute.
I kept reading "43st" like "43rd" (as in she's the 43rd fattest in the world ... but how would they know that?) but then I finally realized it's "43 stone," or 602 pounds. D'oh!

gaining 500 pounds in 2 years? She'll be dead from a heart attack long before she reaches that 1000 pound milestone. Then her poor daughter will be without a mother. :-(

12. Exactly. This isn 't about fat really
This is about a woman in a delusional state insisting on doing something that WILL kill her. There is little chance of survival at 1000 pounds.

They know she's going to die in about 2-3 years so why would they even think of giving her a policy?

29. Why "disgustingly sick"?
There are clearly enough people like you out there to support her website.

I wouldn't mind "picking on someone my own size" (6'3", 270) myself. LArger women are often underappreciated. Can't see why Ms. Simpson would need to get even larger, though.

i've entertained similar thoughts after watching the world's fattest man on TLC or something.

i had visualized forcibly making myself into 1200 pound person. it's a form of fetishism.

25. After watching some documentaries on people who are morbidly obese
People who weigh 500+ lbs I can't imagine why anyone would want to gain more no matter what the reason is just on the basis of quality of life and serious physical problems. The people I saw couldn't even get up or sit up, much less go to the bathroom or clean themselves. Either their mothers did it or someone was hired. They develop large horrible sores where the folds of their skin keep the skin from being healthy. They can't breath because the only way they can lie is flat on their backs. They are virtual prisoners in their own bedrooms because walls have to be torn down to get them out. There aren't wheelchairs large enough or beds strong enough to hold them.

I guess that women is hoping to die because that's where she's headed. That's so sad. Even obese people are worthy human beings, just because all people are.

36. healthy? wow, she is deluded.
Having been quite overweight myself (I'm 5'6" and at my biggest was maybe up to 225 lbs.), I can't anyone in their right mind having any illusions about health.

At that weight, I was having knee pain every time I went up stairs, got out of breath climbing one flight, and overall I just felt horrible.

When I realized how bad I felt, I started exercising and getting my weight under better control.

I've been up and down since then, but I know I feel best when my weight is down and I'm active.

I realize that different people have different body types and health conditions, and that some can no doubt handle more weight than I can, but...I still can't believe that someone who is over 600 lbs. is in any way "healthy".

...but I agree with those who say this "goal" is probably the result of mental illness. I hope she gets some therapy because morbid obesity is not ideal health status.
