So, I saw a guy with something about 3 ft long hanging out of the back of his pants today.
It was lighter colored and it caught my eye because at first I thought it was toilet paper. Then I did a double take and realized it was a fake fur tail. I had my cell phone out and ready to snap a picture and then realized there was NO way to take a picture and not be an asshole.

The employees at the store don't like the guy much--they say he's an asshole to them--and they say he's always got that ratty ass tail hanging out of the back of his pants. Me myself, I think it probably is none of my business except I wonder just how common it is.

Anybody else see people running around with fake fur tails hanging out of their pants?

1. I've never seen anyone with either the tail or the "fursuit".
They are supposed to be around town here (Houston Press did a cover-story on them years ago - Wild Kingdom) but I still haven't ever seen any in person.

So, the one guy is an asshole. He was likely the same way long before he thought wearing the tail was a good thing ;)

I believe there are a few DUers around here that have the tails, too, or even the full suits and/or body-modification. Not my thing, but I like furries, at least for the art (the good art, that is) :D

4. No, but I thought about those "People of Walmart" photos too!
I got an email of some of those pictures of Walmart People just recently and I made the comment at the time that I wondered if they sell tails at Walmart.

This guy was in my regular grocery store that has a coffee cafe as part of it. I stop in that coffee shop whenever I go buy groceries (its how I reward myself for being responsible and keeping the family fed something resembling real food...) and my pals in there were the ones talking about this guy.

That tail just looks SO nasty--kinda like a kid's teddy bear that has been through the wars with the kid--maybe even puked on a few times and then put through the washer--ya know? I'd think that if it was supposed to be a turn on or sexual magnet that he'd at least want to keep it looking perky or something.

3. They have a convention here every year.
Some of them wear ears and some wear full costumes. They always attract a lot of attention!

7. The ones who just wear ears are poser wanna-be furries.
Dabblers.

Really, though. I own bunny ears, and I suppose if I got drunk and forgot I had them on, it's possible I could wear them during sex. But that would be purely accidental.

9. of course. not all that weird.
ever seen burly masculine business men in a 3-piece suit sporting a plastic/wooden headband? hair barrettes? scrunchies? walking their Bichon Frise with neon orange dyed ears and tail inside their man purse?

i have.

in Korea.

and San Francisco, too.

but more often in S. Korea. and those men -- almost to a man -- had girlfriends/wives/children... and no one batted an eye.
