Hi Gray,
That was some crazy stuff. I seem to be getting more confused with each episode, nothing new there!

Peace

2. You mean LaFleur?
I wanna know how Miles got to be a cop.

By the way, how primed are you to finally hear about how Richard got to be ageless? We know how he got to the island the Black Rock, of course, as either a slave or a slaver but how did someone content to always be an unquestioning number two ever rate immortality? As a bonus I think we'll probably get to learn more about Jacob's nature and even see someone from the mysterious Hanso family.

By the way, I saw Sawyer setting up this "let's you and him fight" con from the second Smokey sent him to the little island. After five years I'm finally figuring him out. I just hope he ends up shooting Kate in the flash sideways reality. She needs it.

29. Don't be tacky
His wife just died. I don't think he wants Kate now, he just wants off the island.

20. i think richard was a slave, chained in the hold of the black rock....
and if the island had been underwater at some point in the past, and for some strange reason suddenly arose from the depths UNDERNEATH the black rock, then that is how the ship came to be "shipwrecked" in the middle of the island, with Richard on it.

28. Whoa...
I never made that connection between the island's sinkability and the Black Rock's location. That seems so obvious now that someone's pointed it out to me.

I don't think Richard was a slave, just a prisoner, but we'll see in six days. The first guy to play Smokey McMIB (in last season's finale) will probably be in next week's cast since I think it was the Black Rock that Jacob was luring to the island when he said "I'm going to find a loophole and kill you."

With his sort of cleaned-up, cop haircut & cute side, smoldering glances...good thing I don't have a heart condition.

16. Some big clues to Sawyers fate? Here's my theory
I think Sawyer will be the one to stay on the island and maintain the imprisonment of Smokey? Why?

Because

1. He's a cop

2. He is always sacrificing himself for others

3. His alternate reality story line did not have the neat redemption resolution that most everyone else had.

I also think there's a chance Kate may stay with him. Remember those Adam and Eve bones in the cave?

18. I starting to think that Sawyer is the mastermind
behind everything going on on the island. Setting it up so Smokey/Locke and Whitmore fight it out while he sits back and watches. Who else but Sawyer could come up with that plan??? ... and if he can pull it off ... WOW, just f**king WOW!!!

22. Sawyer's always had a bit of an intellectual streak
Yesterday I rewatched the episode where Ben pretends to put a pacemaker in Sawyer. Towards the end of the episode, Ben takes Sawyer to the top of a hill to show him that they're on another island.

Sawyer throws a reference to "Of Mice and Men" out at Ben, and when Ben doesn't respond immediately, Sawyer snaps "It's from 'Of Mice and Men.' Don't you read?"

Of course, within 5 minutes, Ben starts reciting a long passage about how men go crazy if they don't have anyone. Sawyer says "What the hell are you talking about?" to which Ben says "It's from 'Of Mice and Men.' Don't you read?"

I could watch Ben all day. :D

We just never saw him reading. He was too busy with what's her name.

Yesterday episode, he had Watership Down on his bureau drawer.
