1. You can never go wrong with Cheap Trick!

I saw them in Jan. and they were as great as ever.

2. The only time I saw them was at Georgetown University - in the fucking gym.

That would have been 1984 I think. The white noise was so bad that the only way I could hear anything was to use my hands to press my ears closed to filter out the static. There were two massive stacks of speakers, one on either side of the stage, and the bass player spent the entire concert standing in front of one of them. I love their music, but that concert ROYALLY sucked!

3. Ouch!

I hate when shows are so loud you have to plug your ears just to figure out what the song is.
Tonight's show is outside, so barring rain, I think it's going to be a blast!

4. Yeah, and despite that, my ears were still ringing three days later. Outside concerts rule.

I used to get a ticket series at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Great place to see concerts.
