Momma Mia! I'm embarrassed
to say that I liked it!

Two hours of nothing but fun fluff. And I didn't know Meryl Streep could be such a hoofer. :P

:bounce:

*hangs head in shame* :banghead:

Does that mean I have to turn in my Joy Division fan club card?

1. Haven't seen the movie, but daughters and I LOVED the show,
and love the music. Fun Fluff is NECESSARY!

2. I liked it too.
Especially where all the women of all ages, shapes and sizes are strutting their stuff to Dancing Queen. And I thought Colin Firth did a very nice job with his songs.

3. I love it too and
have it on DVD. I make no apologies for enjoying it. My husband likes it lots too.

I had to watch it several times before I understood what Meryl Streep's character says toward the end when the fountain erupts:

"It's Aphrodite!"

It was in reference to the legend (according to the movie) claiming that on the island was Aphrodite's fountain, from which in ancient times people drank to find true love...or something like that.

4. I unapologetically despise musicals.
And I was able to tolerate and even enjoy a few moments of the movie.

5. I wouldn't mind musicals so much if they had less singing and dancing in them
