2. Ouch, indeed!
They are talking anywhere from 4 - 10" accumulations along the line of the storm. It's been so nice here the past week or so after a really colder, and snowier, winter than is the norm here.

Howdy, Gorms! :hi:

3. I'm in Canada and once again the snow is going to avoid us and hit the USA. Been like that all
winter. We've had like a dessert climate this winter. No snow in Jan, Feb, March.

4. It has been the strangest winter, hasn't it?
It rained last night, harder than it's rained in a really long time. The yard and garden are lakes, so glad we didn't plant anything yet. And now the wind is gusting to about 40 miles per hour and the rain has turned to sleet. It's so ugly and cold out. The temps say 30's but the wind makes it unbearably colder. I would much rather have piles of snow than this.

I hate having my freedom of movement compromised. I could go out but it's just too miserable to attempt it. The husband has gone out to get our prescriptions and a few groceries so I won't have to go.

9. When you add it up the world over we have been much warmer
this year than previous years. Only the USA and Europe had unseasonably colder weather. Canada and Asia have been much warmer than usual.

10. We still have water standing in the fields - been that way since September
this is Iowa. We had a lot of rain late summer and fall. Around September the ground could no longer absorb it. Add lots f snow and here we are with fields saturated and standing water all over.

8. Yeah, wouldn't have been so weird
if it weren't so downright summery yesterday. I'm just glad for the good days.

How are ya, hon? Enjoy your beautiful day. :hi:

11. Glad to hear you're glad for the good days.
.
You've been blessed with a week of good weather -- a time in which to rest
up and enjoy and take a break from the relentless winterness of winter.
.
It IS often darkest before the dawn -- the closer we get to our goals, the more
frustrating it can be not to JUST BE THERE, DAMMIT!!!
.
Try to keep in mind what you have left to withstand... compared to what you
have already outlasted.
.
You kicked the snowmonster's ass... this anklebiter will just be annoying in
comparison.
.
.
.
.
Granted...
.
.
...very, very, very, VERY annoying.
.
But you can almost coast now -- with the right perspective.
.
(Cue "Eye of the Tiger" theme music)
.
Visualize yourself at the top of the Art Museum stairs, fists raised to the sky,
doin' a BIG victory dance.
.
.
I'm gonna stop and go take a nap now. I tuckered myself out.
.
