Have you ever been called a 'passerby'?
Was it offensive to be labeled so generically?

Did it take a little something away from your personal identity?

I just heard someone called that on a police scanner, and it seemed a somewhat belittling.

Almost like a cat sniffing in the garbage.

You know how many movies and plays never would have looked right without the passerby?

They should have way more clout.

I'm thinking of becoming one, just to lend a hand.

1. I would like to be referred to...
.
... as a "gaspasserby".
.
That would be so awesome.
.
Still waiting for my 15 minutes of fame -- that could be it.
.
Maybe get my own reality TV show.
.
I could do it.
.
I could BE a gaspasserby.
.
.
.
You'll... um... you know... just wanna take my word for that.
.

2. Oh, like a crop-duster.
Spread the cheer, as it were.

I get it.

4. Usually, someone on foot just crusing around on the way to somewhere.
Or on the way back from already being somewhere.

I spose it could be someone on a bike, because they can pass by things too.

And even someone driving, cause they pass by things all the time.

But usually I think it may mean that you are a pedestrian who perhaps witnesses something

during that time in which you were 'passing by'.

8. I was called an "onlooker" in a newspaper photo once.
Should I feel insulted?

9. I'm sorry.
Afraid so.

Same thing happened to me, btw.

Oh yes, the onlooker is right in the same boat as the passerby.
