...the worst Saturdays to be alone are the ones that follow a week of socializing and fun--a delightful birthday party, a mini-banquet over Chinese, a riotous St. Patrick's Day, an exquisite dinner outside near the park--and then you have a night where you just can't seem find a date or a friend to do ANYTHING.

I used to be a total loner before I moved to New York, and my weekends were always spent in front of the TV and computer. Now I've got a social life, and when it works, it works--but when it's a beautiful warm evening in spring, and nobody's picking up their phone, and you realize you're on your own for the evening--MAN is it so much worse than having no friends at all.

take a walk, take pics of the flowers blooming... do you have a bicycle?

I'd be out on my motorcycle, today, if there weren't freezing temps and snow on the ground. :-(
