Anybody have a long-suffering dog?
.
This video reminds me of when I had taken in a Siamese cat and a German Shepherd,
both too-thin winter strays without collars, but neither one feral.
.
The cat LOVED to stalk the dog, quickly run in and POUNCE on its head, and run away
before the dog could react.
.
The dog, now alert, would watch the cat from the corner of its eye, and when the cat
pounced again (it ALWAYS pounced again), the dog would trap it with its paw and foreleg,
take the cat's head in her mouth (the first time I saw this I FREAKED at this moment),
and slowly and gently shake the cat's head from side-to-side.
.
Drove the cat INSANE. Would bolt from the room and attempt to recover -- its dignity,
for the most part.
.
Sooner or later, you would see a cat head poke around the corner... stalking.
.
And the whole scenario would repeat itself.
.
Sometimes dozens of time a day.
.
Again, this video brought that to mind.
.

1. Every dog I've had has been long-suffering, because it's mine.
I'm convinced my last dog was a quantum physicist because whenever we'd talk for him in a stupid voice he would get that long-suffering look on his face, like, oh for the love of Maude, here they go again.

2. There is nothing cuter than dogs and cats cohabitating.
I lived with someone who had two cats. I had an Australian Shepherd. They would play like those two above, and after awhile slept together curled up every night.

I wish I had some pix to post.

3. Awww, that is so sweet, and the look on the dog's face is priceless
I could watch that over and over - in fact, I have. Thanks - I needed a laugh tonight!

5. Glad to help. Laughter IS big medicine.
.
The dog's face is my favorite part. I used to be friends with a couple -- he
had this beautiful, serene, faithful, friendly, sweet white German Shepherd
and she had this nasty, yappy, pain-in-the-ass Peekapoo.
.
When not being "Princess'd" by her owner, the little dog would ENDLESSLY and
CONSTANTLY torment the big one -- physically and verbally... and the only
reaction from the big dog would be that look of acceptance (albeit with some
deep sorrow) of his fate.
.
The owner was funny. When his wife would leave the room... and the Peekapoo
would be hanging by its teeth from the Shepherd's neck fur, my friend would
quietly say, "Eat, Bear. Eat. I'll understand."
.
Poor sweetheart never took him up on it, though.

6. Our dog tries to get our elder (14) cat to play and Simba will have none of it.
Snowy bounces around in front of him, grabs her toy and flips it in the air, bounces around
some more in front of Simba, and he just looks at her.

7. According to Simba...
.
...Snowy was placed on this earth for her amusement... should
she ever deign to be amused.
