How are you today?

Sorry I disappeared last week. Had a bladder infection and was home on sick leave for a couple of days. Got antibiotics so I am fine again.

I blame you this morning that I only had 4 hours of sleep last night. Why did it take you so long to pass the HCR???? I had to stay awake to see the vote. Congrats on passing it. It is the first step in the right direction!!!

That's some dedicated interest. No way I'd stay up late to watch a vote. I didn't watch any of it, just checked in on DU's GD forum occasionally. That's plenty of entertainment.

Now the hysteria moves to the Senate. More fun to come.

I'm glad you're feeling better, but still, get some rest. Laws, like wurst, can be made while you sleep :)

I went to bed at 0.30am. Woke up an hour later. Couldn't go back to sleep. Got my laptop and started watching C-Span in combination with reading DU .... and then it got too interesting to turn off the laptop. Even though I can't understand how one can stand more than 5 minutes listening to Boehner.

Thanks for the well wishes. I just wish the provision of the bill that would help me and a friend of mine would kick in sooner. 2014 seems like a long way off when you are suffering now, but I guess we will make it through.

I got sick last week, too, and had to take a couple of days off work. The doctor said I had the flu. I slept for nearly 48 hours recovering from it, just getting up here and there to take care of necessities. As far as bugs go, it was the sickest I've ever been since I've been an adult.

I am glad too. Thank goodness for the good health care system in Germany. Even though it has its flaws it still helps to know one can go see a doc without worrying if one can pay for it.

How was Toronto? Is the spring showing there too?

Yeah, even though I am not affected it was a nail biter till they had the votes.

Oh there will be still a lot of profit made. Here in Germany not the insurance companies make the big bucks but the pharmacy companies. They decide how expensive a drug is. Even though it is less expensive anywhere else in Europe, in Germany they make quite some profit. And their lobby in Berlin is busy busy busy keeping it that way.
You see, even our system has its flaws.

but we didn't have a system at all, and corporations had (and still have) most of the government controls. There's still no price negotiations for prescriptions.
