1. is that all the incarnations?
cause I loved the Doobies until the Michael McDonald era and the Eagles pre Hotel California (oh god I'm stuck in the early 70's)

3. The Babies.
Okay, I voted for the Doobies, but there's always some yahoo who has to order off-menu and say something completely irrelevant, so I thought I'd try it and see how it feels.

5. I would like to vote for the Babys.
I don't know if that's who you meant or not, but that's who I thought of.

7. Maybe. If they spelled their name wrong, it's not my fault.
Took me years before I realized it wasn't Beetles.

13. Me, too, man. The results are very undude...I hate the fucking Eagles.
Well, not really, but I could've sworn the Doobies would've done better.

12. In a moment of weakness
I added an Eagles album to my iPod.

Doobie Brothers? Not yet.

So I vote an unenthusiastic "EAGLES, BABY!!!"

:hi:

14. No Doobies on your IPod??
How dare you. I plan to add a Doobie Brothers album one of these days. Soon. Ish. After I wear out my Lady Gaga CD... Oh yeah, and my daughter bought me a BeeGees album... Sadly, it was kind of decent...

But no fucking Eagles, though! I have standards.

15. The Michael McDonald-era Doobs albums were treble-y and brittle sounding
The single-CD "Listen To The Music" best-of, which ends with the first McDonald album "Takin' It To The Streets," still sounds pretty good to this day.

But the later McDonald stuff...which I heard again on a recent 2-CD compilation, was too treble-heavy, with a synthesized, heavily processed sound that hasn't stood the test of time at all.

Overall, I'd have to say that The Eagles were the better band, at least in terms of the consistency of their recordings.
