Adversity on its Head - Haven't We All Been Here?...

Our angels of discomfort
will perch upon our shoulders
and weigh us down from time to time
just long enough for us to to come around...
...again to feel our spirits soaring high above the abyss

Our angels of discomfort, they love to fly away...
...replaced by those of mercy, humility and grace

as we allow them their destined jobs
we let ourselves to win -- our songs of freedom
