I only joined this forum so that I could post a thread opposing your views on this issue. While I claim to understand your reasons for supporting this perspective, they are all invalid for a number of other reasons.

I realize that your upbringing/education/religion/political affiliation makes it difficult for you to be open minded on this issue, and you have inevitably heard most if not all counterarguments before, I am confident that if I, a complete stranger, lay them before you in a condescending manner using as many large words as possible, I can dissuade you. Failing that, I am sure that I can spawn a thread of regurgitated clichés that will eventually degenerate into meaningless insults on one or both sides.

At the very least, I will be able to self-righteously walk away with the knowledge that I have been seen publicly trying to enlighten you, and regret that your liberal/conservative/plebeian values run to deep for you to abandon this forum and join its polar opposite, which is correct on this issue.
