I don't want to live in a world without William Shatner
This is not an alarmist thread. Near as I can tell, he's doing alright. But even the Shat can't outwit Death, and I bristle at the prospect.

Hang in there, big fella.

2. Is he sick?
Is he going to end up in one of those wheelchairs where he has to blink once for yes and two for no?

3. If he does, it will be the most melodramatic blinking the world has yet witnessed.
I love Shatner. He's made a career off one great role and a personality that merges irony and farce, but makes it charming. His poetic reading of Sara Palin was tearfully beautiful.

7. Kirk
He will always "boldly go where no man has gone before" in my mind!

(Of course the words "no man" were replaced by "no one" in the intro to Star Trek:TNG).

8. When he dies, I want to be the first to say...
..."He's dead, Jim."

I missed my chance when Charlton Heston died to say, "Gun removed from Heston's cold, dead fingers."

12. That's the mask for Mike Myers in all those Halloween movies
Or is that Jason from Friday the 13th?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077651/trivia
Due to its shoestring budget, the prop department had to use the cheapest mask that they could find in the costume store: a Captain Kirk (William Shatner) mask. They later spray-painted the face white, teased out the hair, and reshaped the eye holes.
