My cat is high.....

Dora, my beloved rescue kitty, somehow managed to cut herself on her hind quarters Sunday night. We took her to the emergency vet and got her fixed up, no big deal. She's healing nicely. The vet gave us a whole bunch of pain pills that we have to shove down her throat twice a day. I hate to laugh at any animal's misfortune, but this is one of the most funniest things I've ever seen in my life. This cat is tripping smooth the hell out. She's having a hard time walking a straight line and last night she walked right into the wall in the bedroom. She tried to groom my Border Collie last night (surprised the hell out of the dog needless to say) She's presently upside down in the kitty carrier sleeping and purring simultaneously. You pick her up and it's like picking up wet towel. I just hope she doesn't have withdrawal when the pills run out.

3. We've got catnip hanging over an entrance to the kitchen.

It is stuff we grew last season that we hung there to dry and left there. Every once in a while I reach up and grab some, crush it over a cat's back and watch it get stoned.

6. It's quite funny to watch

I love that cat though. She wandered into my garage during a thunderstorm in August two years ago, as a malnourished, dirty, little kitten. She had been meowing so much that she had no voice left. I didn't see her come into the garage. I'm sitting at the workbench engrossed in my work when something furry rubs against my leg. Scared the living hell out of me! I gave her a little plate of food and a bowl of water and she wolfed it down. That perked her up and she proceeded to get into EVERYTHING in the garage, Hence the name Dora the Explorer.


I've said it before and i will say it again, Rescued critters make the best pets ever!
