Friday music: Humble Pie, Live: Come On, Everybody- (It might get loud)
Humble Pie with Steve Marriot, live in London's
Rainbow Theatre, June 1974. Doing their version of the Rockabilly classic by Eddie Cochran, "Come On, Everybody" - this must be played loud:

Happy Friday night, have a great weekend.

2. Thanks, BB - that was one hell of a live band - Greg Ridley on bass,
Steve Marriot, Jerry Shirley drums, and a kid - Peter Frampton on guitar. One of THE great live bands of that period.

6. You know what's cool about this for me?
The song itself doesn't blow me away....but I get the sense it does for you, and trust me, I know what it's like when a song or a band clicks and hits you right. No better feeling on Earth. So the song ain't bad, but it's YOUR response that makes it cool for me. :toast:

7. Man, that's one of the coolest responses to a post I've ever seen.
That's the way it should be, be happy for people enjoying the things they like. Nice Forkboy.

8. I just want people to enjoy what they enjoy.
I'm the last person to judge people's music. I listen to pretty odd stuff, so who am I to talk? I love seeing people into whatever music it is that they dig. You can tell an honest music fan from those that only see music as background music any day. It's not the music that makes the difference, it's the attitude approaching it. I can tell someone INTO music from those who just "like" it from a mile away. :toast:

10. I really loved that band - onstage, they were just a continuous party
from start to stop, and the musicianship was att times very ragged and at times incredibly sophisticated, but they always moved the audience.

Steve Marriot's terrible life and death add something to it that was not in the performances at the time.

Thanks for your comments.

FWIW, I usually enjoy any type of music with a well played guitar in it.

11. Someone else mentioned them - I have not seen them live, but
I like what I have seen of them in performance recordings - they should do more live recording.
