Question about cell phone |
|
Hi: A friend called me from a distant city. (in USA) We had been communicating via Email. His computer broke so he is trying to get in touch with me.
I received his voice-mail fine and heard his message but my phone did not display his number so I can't call him back on a land phone. Is this true??
Also, is this true >> Sometimes you can receive long-distance calls but can't call back because your service does not "serve" the same area. ??????
excuse my ignorance...I'm new to cell phones. :)

1. If it doesn't display his number |
|
there's no way to call him back unless you actually have it. And you can call anyone, anywhere with your cell. Even if your company doesn't serve an area.

4. sometimes it happens with local calls! |
|
I don't know the mechanics of it but yes what you describe can happen. I have received messages with no number, or call, or missed call listed.
As well I can receive texts and have received calls in Mexico but not been able to call or text back.
