I've have six (pink or maybe originally red?) chicks still in the original cellophane wrapper that are maybe fifty years old. Years ago, my mom cleaned out the closet and gave them to me. I remember them being around for years, but we never opened the package and certainly would not eat them. We simply pull them out once a year, for some obscure reason, and display them for a couple of days, then put them away for another year. They are family heirlooms.
