If it's more than very slightly uncomfortable you're either wearing one too tight or one that isn't anywhere close to a proper fit.

The proper fit will result in the proper look. Corsets made of too stiff material and ill fitted will give the feeling of being "squashed in a vice".

Waist cinches are the same, proper fit and the woman becoming accustomed to wearing them is the key to enjoying them.

a person can be fit, toned, exercise, climb mountains, AND wear a corset, in fact i recommend it, a corset looks better on a 24 inch waist than when squishing in a 34 inch waist in my humble view

some people can actually be athletic AND be sexy, you'd be amazed at the versatility, why live just one life when you can live several?
