What musical act are you STOKED to see in 2010?
FURTHUR (the recent "Guys left in the Dead" band). They are pure fire. JK is the closest thing yet to JerryBear. If you loved the Dead in 1977, you will absolutely love this band. They are playing a festival close to my house with Hot Tuna, Jackie Greene, Mother Hips, Galactic and others.

Widespread Panic. Off of a four year personal hiatus, I am really looking forward to seeing these guys at my favorite festival, High Sierra. Now that Jimmy is fully intertwined, it is time to come back to Panic.

Dan Bern. One of the best singer songwriters out there. He is playing at HSMF with a band too. He really kicks some serious ass.

Phish at the Greek in Berkeley and in Telluride. What more can I say. Probably the Festival in Indio (if it happens) for halloween like last year).

Zappa Plays Zappa at Harmony. Been a while since I saw them and this band is incredible.

String Cheese Incident at Hornings Hideout. 3 days of Cheese, the most beautiful place ever for a show (NO CONCRETE!)and the weird spiritual games and seminars and all that. It is like everyone there puts on the show. We create the parade, the themes etc and the band just plays along. "It is like the "Acid Tests" all grown up" Mountain girl

Orchestra pit tickets this time. I'm thinking of wearing a "Sharon Osborne Owes Me 80 Bucks!" T-shirt...lol.

3. Mike Keneally, Jim Boggia.
Mike Keneally used to be the stunt guitarist for Frank Zappa on his final tour in 1988, but his amazing output since that tour has to be heard to be believed. Amazing guitarist/keyboardist, singer-songwriter, avant garde composer for orchestras, bubblegum pop, head-ripping-off rock...the man can serious do it all, and often does, simultaneously. http://www.keneally.com

Jim Boggia is hands down my favorite singer-songwriter of all time. You may have heard his song "Live The Proof" in a Blackberry commercial, and he was the guy singing "Maniac" in that Kia commercial that lampooned "Flashdance". http://www.jimboggia.com

11. I mean I've seen them like 8 times before already
But this time for some reason my email account was putting all email from The Iron Maiden Fan Club into a spam folder so I didn't get the early pre-sale info!

Now all GA tickets are being sold for $300+ on ticket sites. And they are paperless tickets so I have to "Meet up" with the person selling them to even get my ticket and enter the concert with that person.

Really sucks.

12. Yeah, paperless fucking sucks.
We gotta drive sixty miles, wait in traffic when we get there, pay out the ass for parking, walk another couple of miles to the actual venue (Glen Helen Regional Park is pretty huge), and then just hope we're on the list? I do not feel good about this.

For a hun per ticket, I'd feel a lot better if I had an actual ducket in my hands.

15. I used to pay the extra cost at ticket sites for the good seats when I could get an actual ticket
Now I don't feel good about paying some guy $350 and just 'HOPE' that the guy will be waiting at the venue for me to let me in with him.

Also I can't afford $350 right now. :grr:

16. Now that I'm long past being a teenager...
...I don't mind paying top dollar for the best seats. I'm single, my kids are really my brother's, I've got no wife and no ex-wife. I've got some discretional income that other men my age and in the same income bracket may not have.

But if this paperless trend doesn't work out, those days may be over.

9. I don't know if "stoked" is the right word but my boyfriend bought
us tickets for Dave Matthews on July 3rd. I used to detest Dave, but I have grown to really enjoy him (probably because my boyfriend plays him non-stop)

22. I love that guy....
Seen him about once a decade it seems. I used to see him at the Palms Playhouse in Davis. When it was the barn and he was the funniest guy ever. that voice and the deadpan delivery and the old timey thing is so cool...
