Okay, to be honest, I can't exactly think of one off the top of my head. I'm not particularly fond of the Sellers/Niven Casino Royale, but I wouldn't exactly call Daniel Craig's film a remake.

Anyone?

1. The 10 Commandments

The original (silent) included lots of morality lessons set in "modern" (1920's) times.

The second one is a great way to practice MST'ing while laughing at the hammy acting. :D

5. Good suggestion
I don't really like the Moranis remake, but the original film is a real stinker.

6. I would exclude remakes of classic novels
There are many early, silent and talkies for movies like Ben-Hur, Last of the Mohicans, etc. I really do not consider them remakes and it is not really fair to compare them to the limited production values of the earlier films.

7. Cape Fear makes a good case
It's at least the equal the original, I think.

Maybe 'The Fly.' I don't know. I'm so hopelessly in love with Geena Davis my opinion can't be trusted.
