2. That game is about as exciting as watching bark grow on trees... |

...unless you're a Duke fan.

I take back everything good I ever said about you.
How could you? Now all that goddamn repuke Liddy Dole fundraising piece of shit has to do is beat a fucking mid-major in the opening game of the Maui Invitational and he wins it all, again.
Thanks for nothing, losers.

6. Sorry, but the fact remains |
|
that Coach Needlenose is going to cut down the nets on Monday night, then donate his bonus to the nearest repuke candidate in sight. You guys were basically my last hope to prevent that. And you blew it.

7. Coach K is no longer registered as a republican. |
|
He is unaffiliated according the NC State Board of Elections. I hope that means he is unhappy with the direction they have taken the last few years. I'm a huge Duke fan and think Coach K does a lot of good things for charity (children's hospital, Emily K Center, Jimmy V foundation, etc.) but I hate some of the people he has supported in the past.

we were invading some country or other (it's all kind of a blur :eyes: ) and Coach K said, "I wish I were over there with them." :puke: I've hated him ever since.

Hey there NCliberal... just got back from Indy last night. Was there for the game. It was a wonderful experience.
DUers, Coach K is not out there on the court. He's the coach but does not score or play. The players are not republicans (I know this for a fact) and not all of them are sons of millionaires. They are good students and good athletes who play their hearts out in a year when no one - including many Duke fans - imagined they would be where they are now.
What they have done has happened out of sheer willpower and the renaissance of Brian Zoubek, who has been injured for most of his career - not to mention that Brian is a terrific student as well and Duke ain't an easy school.
I do not like that Coach K has thrown his support to people like Liddy Dole. However, Coach K is not a politician. To hate someone who coaches basketball and his whole team simply because of that coach's political affiliation is not my style.
Hate them for how they play or for their players, but not for the supposed political convictions of their coach.
